Night Shade artists Jason Thibodeaux and Christopher Rabilwongse have garnered quite the resume during their time in Portland, Oregon—the "animation capital" of the US—working on popular tv series like Adult Swim’s The Shivering Truth and such Hollywood hits as Coraline, ParaNorman, The Boxtrolls, and Kubo, along with Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio and Netflix’s Wendell & Wild.
Jason and Christopher will visit students in Maine College of Arts & Design's Animation & Game Art department for a conversation around their professional and personal lives post graduation.
Students will gain a glimpse into two of the many pathways animators take to end up in their careers. Topics addressed during the salon-style conversation will include their stop-motion animation experiences, running a company, freelancing, and bi-coastal living & working.
