Night Shade's Sarah Frechette will teach Maine College of Art & Design sculpture students a 3 hour workshop on approaching puppets through materials, exploring character through string-and-ball marionettes, scarves, and Roser-style cardboard sculptures the students create from flat patterns.

A marionette workshop consists of two parts: a basic introduction to the string puppet or Marionette and a hands on show and tell with specific exercises designed to get the brain and body moving instead of just 'hanging around'.
